FBPF and Trial Counsel Sullivan Papain Secure $850,000.00 Settlement in Labor Law §240 Case in Dutchess County, New York

FBPF, led by partner Thomas Papain, and trial counsel, Nicholas Papain of Sullivan Papain Block McManus Coffinas & Cannavo P.C., secured an $850,000.00 settlement for a construction worker who suffered a serious leg injury when a Baker scaffold which he was standing on collapsed.  The case settled on the eve of trial and after securing summary judgment on liability under Labor Law §240(1). In preparation for the trial, FBPF was able to obtain a court order which would have allowed the injured worker, who was in ICE detention, to testify at trial via videoconference.
